The pattern I've seen most in over 20 years in financial services is capable, generous women letting someone else decide where their time, energy, and money go. I did it too. Then I became a parent of three overnight, went through my own divorce, and lost my job. I learned fast that owning those decisions was the only way forward.
I am an Accredited Financial Counselor, a financial planner, a mediator, a business owner, and a mom. I have spent more than a decade as a financial advisor and have been a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst since 2014. I wrote Intentional Money: The Modern Woman's Guide to Building Wealth, Purpose, and Peace because the standard financial playbook assumes a life that moves in a straight line, and mine did not.
